‘Weak Hero Class 2’ ending explained: Who dies in this Park Ji-hoon and Ryeoun-led Netflix K-drama?
In life there are things that can’t be helped and Yeon Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon) is trying to understand that in season 2 of ‘Weak Hero Class.’ The latest installment of this Netflix K-drama begins with his character transferring into a new school, where rumour has it that he killed a previous classmate. Not many know about his history with Su-ho (Choi Hyun-wook), who was left in a vegetative state after their best friend Beom-seok (Hong Kyung), turns his back on them, joins the bullying corner to exact revenge for his self-inflicted wound and crave for wanting attention.
The deeply inflicted trauma from the incident continues to haunt Yeon Si-eun, who decides not to entangle himself with anyone, and stays away from getting into fights. But things change when Jun-tae (Choi Min-yeong) reaches out to him for help after getting relentlessly bullied by a classmate. “Do you know Newton’s third law? Without an action, there won’t be a reaction,” Si-eun advises him.
This sparks an awakening in Jun-tae, who defies his bully, gets beaten badly, but finally ends up striking a friendship with Si-eun and their squad grows more when Baku (Ryeoun), Go Hyun-tak (Lee Min-jae) join in to tackle the problem with ‘The Union’.
What is ‘The Union’?
‘The Union’ is a criminal group of delinquents run by a high-school student Na Baek-jin (Bae Na-ra), which has terrorized nearby schools. Baku, who has childhood friends-to-enemies history with Baek-jin, has protected their school Eunjang High from being a part of the criminal gang. Another scary tough guy, Seong-je (Lee Jun-young), is Baek-jin’s henchman, but do not make the mistake of assuming he is lowest down the food chain.
Since Eunjang is the only school to not join ‘The Union’, members of the gang would pick on the school students, bully them for money. Baku couldn’t tolerate and beat up everyone in the ‘The Union’ including their leaders, getting a temporary suspension, but also becoming the saviour of Eunjang.

‘The Union’ operates through a Bowling alley, where Baek-jin is a manager. The alley is being used to launder money and the owner is a gangster, who manipulates the sales. Another important part of ‘The Union’ is Daesung motorcycles, where gang members steal motorcycles, scooters, any type of bike. They repaint the stolen vehicles, change number plates and parts to make it untraceable to sell them. But that’s not all, they keep a list of everything, make copies of the keys, then steal the bikes back from the new owner.
There’s no reporting of the crime because ‘The Union’ uses only cash or burner accounts to make transactions and also the police turn a blind eye to it all because of the influence of the gangster. High-school students are lured into the gang because the pay is good.
How does Yeon Si-eun’s squad get involved with ‘The Union’?
Baku was once a close friend of Baek-jin, who would be bullied in school. Baku teaches him how to fight the bullies but Baek-jin doesn’t use the skill to defend but to attack others, choosing the wrong path and eventually becoming the manager at ‘The Union.’
Baek-jin has a weird obsession with his childhood friend and wants Baku to join his criminal gang. When the latter doesn’t agree, he makes Baku’s life a living hell by going after his father and friends. Baku joins the gang to appease Baek-jin but eventually realizes he needs to fight back. He publicly challenges ‘The Union’ for a fight with the condition that if he loses Eunjan will join the gang, but if he wins Baek-jin will dismantle ‘The Union.’
‘Weak Hero Class 2’ ending explained:
Yeon Si-eun makes a tight plan to spread rumour about Baek-jin running away with money by leaking some of his burner account transactions. Money that brought ‘The Union’ together, also breaks them apart, and on D-Day most of their members bail on the gang. On the flip side, Eunjang students stand together to fight the gang.

Baku follows Yeon Si-eun’s strategy to go after Baek-jin’s arms and legs, so that his limbs are done for. At one point, it appears Baek-jin might win the fight but Eunjang students manage to swoop in the victory with Yeon Si-eun’s help. They freed themselves from the terror of ‘The Union’ but the most suspicious outcome of it all was that Baek-jin disappeared after the fight. No one had any idea where he had gone.
‘Weak Hero Class 2’ end credit explained:
Baek-jin’s henchman Seong-je is approached by the gangster to replace him, this time it isn’t for handling children’s games like the Bowling alley. This indicates the problem isn’t over yet. Meanwhile, in a shocking turn of events, it is revealed Baek-jin is dead, no one knows how. But Baku, Yeon Si-eun and their squad are shown to be crying bitterly at his funeral.
