The world's largest solar power plant
The Noor Ouarzazat is the world's largest multi-technology solar power plant with a capacity of 580 megawatts. With an estimated total investment of 24 billion dirhams (approximately 2.4 billion dollars), the plant will house nearly half a million curved glass panels and reflect sunlight, 12 meters each, in 800 long and parallel rows, rotating according to the movement of the sun, where the emitted rays pick up, and converted into clean energy.
